Event Specialist - Kroll Ontrack - Eden Prairie, MN

The Event Specialist will work closely with the Event Planner to manage the day-to-day tactics associated with trade shows, Continuing Legal Education Seminars, and other Kroll Ontrack events that the company participates in and/or puts on. The Event Team is responsible for all aspects of an event — from pre-event planning, set-up and coordination to post-event follow-up and evaluation. The Event Specialist will work closely with the other Event Specialists/Event Planners on the team as well as other marketing team members to flawlessly execute event tactics.

  • Work with event planner and manager to develop event plans and coordinate execution of all pre- and post-event activities (direct mailers/invites, set-up/logistics, budgeting, distribution of materials, etc.).
  • Coordinate exhibits, graphics, presentations, speakers, hotel rooms, receptions, meetings, and other event components.
  • Provide onsite support for events.
  • Produce high quality work products that are supportive of the product messaging, brand identity, and d overall image of the company.
  • Develop and manage reports of event results.
  • Communicate effectively and act as the event liaison with sales, marketing team members and other internal stakeholders, as well as outside vendors, speakers and customers.
  • Represent and advise customers/vendors on the types of offerings we deliver and the primary markets we serve.
  • Business Travel Requirements: Approximately 30%; mostly domestic and possibly some international.
  • Qualifications:
  • One to three years experience in event planning is required.
  • Prior experience in working with the legal industry is preferred.
  • Experience with Internet and/or Web-based technologies.
  • Advanced computer skills include all Microsoft office applications.
  • Advanced communication skills.
  • Expert organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, or employees of organization.
  • Ability to lift boxes up to 50 lbs. and transport (using a cart) materials for distances up to 500 yards.
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or other related degree is required.
