Vice President - Fleishman-Hillard Inc.

Fleishman-Hillard’s Minneapolis/St. Paul, working with both national brands and locally recognized companies, is expanding in the market and looking to add a seasoned Vice President to this growing office. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced public relations practitioner to join a dynamic team doing high level communications work for a variety of clients.

Responsibilities
:
Responsibilities include building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, writing and executing programs for Fortune 100 and mid-sized companies, and advancing corporate communications strategies that embrace the client’s strategy and positioning. Candidate will be expected to manage clients, manage staff, develop and manage budgets and business plans, and ensure profitability. Will lead regular account planning meetings and new business presentations.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum eight to ten years of corporate communications experience gained in an agency or a corporate environment. In addition, experience in healthcare communications, technology PR, and/or marketing communications would be a plus.
  • Strong strategic thinker and planner, with proven track record in corporate positioning
  • Solid experience with business media and in building and maintaining media relationships
  • Client counseling and strategic program development are critical to this role.
  • Excellent writing ability with extensive experience in all forms of corporate and executive communication, from business media news releases to executive talking points
  • Business development experience and polished presentation skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize, be assertive, self-starting, detail-oriented and have a willingness to take ownership are essential to success. This translates to strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to effectively motivate staff and clients.
  • A strong team orientation is critical based on the collaborative culture of the office and Fleishman–Hillard.
  • Previous experience in successfully developing and managing substantial budgets.
  • Additional proficiencies required include superb interpersonal skills, solid news judgment, mentoring and leadership abilities, and well-developed organizational skills
