New Media:
- Act as contributing member of New Media Team; complete assigned projects through collaboration with content, video, and developer team members
- Improve understanding of common new media skills including video production, audio production, and non-linear editing
- Utilize new media skills in multimedia productions; plan, record, and edit videos and podcasts
- Assist in management of AHC social media presence; post updates on AHC social media accounts
- Assist with closed-captioning of AHC videos
- Improve understanding of common web development languages including HTML, CSS, and PHP
- Utilize web development skills to implement planned upgrades and additional features Optimize images for web use with image editing software
Site Updates / Maintenance:
- Update AHC web sites using UM Content, the University's content management system
- Verify content metadata follows established standards; make updates as needed
- Assist with gathering of analytics data and preparation of web site usage reports
- Basic understanding of HTML and CSS
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver
- Familiarity with common social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube
- Experience using a content management system
- Experience with video and/or audio recording and editing
- Experience with PHP, jQuery, JavaScript
- Experience with Flash
