Position Overview

EMAIL (75% of role)

  • Acting as project lead for e-mail campaigns; helping to develop task plans and schedules and communicating status and issues to internal clients, team members, and management; partnering and negotiating with internal clients to ensure impacted web page and e-mail communications are identified and understood, resources are assigned, and delivery dates are defined.
  • Serving as subject matter expert for Marketing, Legal, and other business areas and ensure utilization of e-mail best practices, standards, and SPAM issues.
  • Serving as primary designer for html and text e-mails; using Adobe DreamWeaver to create html content and design for e-mail; creating web pages for e-mail and elevating to production using Content Management System (CMS); collaborating with team members to coordinate tasks related to content development and web page design; monitoring the e-mail campaign calendar in cooperation with other online and offline tactics.
  • Executing e-mail campaigns and using appropriate technology to load lists, schedule mailings, and set up content versions, proofs, and tests; launching e-mails; serving as primary tester for all e-mail campaigns; coordinating the scheduling and production tasks necessary to deliver accurate and timely web pages and e-mail communication requests; providing technical support by troubleshooting content-related issues with e-mail communications.
  • Documenting all e-mail projects and providing accurate and timely updates to the management team; coordinating presentations to management, project clients, and the department as needed; providing detailed reporting and analysis for campaigns using appropriate tools and required formats; developing charts, reports, and trend analysis and presenting findings to Marketing and other business areas; recognizing trends and anomalies, and making recommendations for future e-mail campaigns based on results.
  • Managing project timelines and tasks using the project management software; effectively resolving project issues that impact the schedule or business decisions; using good judgment regarding when to elevate issues; reprioritizing tasks to meet deadlines; following up on assigned areas of the  project to ensure adherence to timelines.
  • Producing procedural documentation and identifying website/e-mail communications, tool, and process improvements; providing insight to business and Information Technology (IT) partners on web content management related matters.
Coordinating billing and accounts receivable aspects.  Ensure e-mail advertisers are billed in a timely fashion and tracks outstanding invoices.  Coordinates check request for payments owed to content providers, vendors, etc.

SOCIAL MEDIA (25% of role)

  • Planning, developing, implementing, and monitoring the Travel Leaders headquarters social media presence. 
  • Coordinating implementation and execution of a social media training program for franchisees.
  • Managing multiple projects relating to the effective use of social media. Provide updates and reviews to management at various levels to educate and inform about social media activities, policies, competition, and achievements.
  • Coordinating social media content development with marketing communications and promotional communications projects and editorial calendar.

 Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related discipline.
  • 3 + years working experience in marketing environment with an emphasis on e-mail and social media.
  • Experience using an e-mail delivery tool, supporting customer databases and an enterprise level Website content management system.
  • Proficient working in Microsoft suite, project management software, Access and SQL databases, Dreamweaver and working with html.
  • Proficient using Facebook, Twitter, Youtube.com and LinkedIn for business purposes.
  • Experience in cross-departmental project coordination (Marketing, IT, Product).
  • Professional demeanor with excellent skills: customer service, strong verbal and written communication, and interpersonal.
  • Proven ability to learn new tasks quickly and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously; able to work in fast-paced and time sensitive environment.
