Archway Marketing - Sr. Manager, Sales Support

The Sales Support team is dedicated to assisting the Sales team through the sales cycle from initial lead qualification to solution development and delivery of solutions through proposals and presentations. As a leader of the Sales Support team, the Sr. Manager is responsible for the accurate development and coordination of prospect presentations and proposals, RFPs/RFIs and supplier registrations. Working closely with the Solutions Development team, Sales and Client Services teams this role will manage a team to align our winning strategies, solutions and messages in sales support materials that will result in the advancement of deals. This position will also be a key member in developing proposals based on prospect assessments that preceed RFPs. This requires strategic thinking and ability to create sales proposals based on assessment findings.
This role requires the ability to strategically think and craft messages to specific client and prospect needs. In this role, you will lead and develop a team of writers to think strategically, partner with sales to understand client and prospect needs and craft winning proposals and presentations. Additionally, this team is responsible for updated all content that is used in sales materials.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
  • Develop and direct sales support activities
  • Set personal and overall performance goals for team
  • Create and deliver strategic proposals and presentations
  • Drive and improve the sales support function/processes to make them both scalable as well as effective in closing deals
  • Business Communications – written and visual
  • Lead a team of writers and technical/operational solutions roles
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in selling environment
  • Experience creating and developing winning proposals and presentation
  • Ability to create winning strategies & demonstrated ability to be a sales strategist
  • Ability to ask, analyze and answer critical questions – What is the competitive landscape? What is the positioning, messaging and unique selling angle for each client? Who are the key audiences, decision makers and influencers? What is the best mix of marketing and media tactics to reach and influence these audiences?
  • Proven ability in leading, developing and managing a team, including performance management, training and mentoring employees
  • Demonstrated business acumen and strategic thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal and external audiences as well as with all levels of an organization
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written including presentation skills
