Job Description:
Plans and executes Development-related events throughout the Mayo
system. The special events may include small luncheons for special
occasions to multiple day events. Events are held in Rochester,
Scottsdale, Jacksonville and other areas of donor concentration across
the United States. Event planning is coordinated with appropriate
program manager or assigned Development Officer to ensure fund-raising
goals are achieved.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required. Three to five years experience in event management, public relations, or marketing.
Other Qualifications:
Understanding of the philanthropic process and project management is
desirable. Applicants must be capable of working collaboratively in a
complex organization. Incumbents will have demonstrated competencies in
project management, leadership, and communications. Excellent oral and
written communication skills required. The incumbent must be able to
work effectively in a consensus-style operation that expects and
promotes teamwork. Must be able to communicate and partner with Mayo
Clinic benefactors and staff in a professional manner, and maintain a
high degree of confidentiality. Must be able to represent Mayo
professionally in working with six-figure and greater gift prospects and
benefactors. Work related experience in a health care setting is
beneficial.
License or Certification: Basic Lifesaving Skills class required

Schedule Details: Monday-Friday
Weekend Schedule: some weekends required
