Position Description
Description of Duties
-
Plans and executes assigned organizational events, including
logistics, sponsorships, event budgets and analytics/tracking of event
ROI

Perform research and sourcing of vendors, materials, products and services
-
Serve as project manager for United Way assigned events
-
Perform database entry and archival documentation
-
Manage budgets for assigned events
-
Recruit and manage volunteers and interns when applicable per event
-
Manage internal meetings and ongoing communication with events that have been assigned
-
Provide event-related administrative support, including direct support for Director of Marketing as needed
Specifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent years of applicable experience) with
2-3 years event planning experience and/or marketing and promotions
experience
-
Excellent organizational skills, able to handle multiple projects
simultaneously with short deadlines in a fast-paced environment and
across department/division lines
-
Ability to work independently and within a team environment, excellent
problem solver, strong initiative, excellent negotiator and strong
attention to detail required
-
Sourcing/research, mail-merge, documentation and database entry experience (CRM experience a plus)
-
Creative thinker with strong leadership, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
-
Experience securing in-kind gifts or donations of products and/or services genuine concern for others
-
Outstanding written and verbal communication as well as presentation skills
-
Volunteer management experience a plus

Experience with web management and e-mail/newsletter content programs a plus
-
Must have a flexible schedule and transportation for evening and weekend events
