Northwestern College - Manager of Online Communication - Marketing & Communications

Position Summary: Collaborate with Marketing & Communications staff, as well as representatives of
campus departments/offices, to ensure that prospective students, their parents and other constituents
are able to effortlessly use the website to acquire information about Northwestern College. Ensure that
web content architecture and presentation support institutional lead generation and enrollment goals. Lead
ongoing search engine optimization initiatives for nwc.edu. Advise content contributors on web content
strategies.

Oversee search engine marketing efforts. Use site metrics tools to track site traffic,
performance and page views. Keep abreast of new technology, media, best practices, and interactive
research related to Internet marketing and digital media. Create and manage social media strategy for
Northwestern. Coordinate system enhancements and promote continued development, process/customer
service improvements, innovative solutions, and policy changes. Interface with outside vendors to ensure a
stable, supported CMS and to implement web functionality. Interface with Northwestern College CT staff
regarding any issues relating to a stable hosting environment. Develop user procedures, guidelines and
documentation. Train end users on the content management systems.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. A minimum of 5 years experience with
application of technology systems and web processes is required. Education and/or experience in web
design and development strongly desired. Experience with Google analytics and / or other site metrics tools
strongly desired. Experience in online marketing required; experience in higher education marketing desired.
Exposure to Liferay, Luminis and / or SharePoint a plus.
