Olson - Senior Account Executive (Advertising)

The Senior Account Executive (Advertising) for Olson’s Multicultural Engagement practice will be collaborating on key agency accounts implementing holistic marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate must have in-depth knowledge of the U.S. Latino culture and trends in Multicultural marketing and must be completely fluent in Spanish and English (oral and written) - knowledge of African-American consumer marketing a plus. A demonstrated track record of executing successful multicultural strategies across multiple mediums is essential.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for supporting multiple accounts with a focus on short and long-term growth; serve as daily client contact
  • Quickly develop expertise on the account and solid understanding of its industry, its business strategy, brand messages, and communication goals as well as nuances within the Hispanic segment and end-consumer (knowledge of African-American segment a plus)
  • Provide excellent Multicultural counsel and collaborate on its execution with client contacts and account teams
  • Keep AD/VP current on all relevant work, collaborate on final strategy and POV
  • Participate in client meetings and the execution of program elements
  • Ensure all projects are following strategy; develop innovative programs and proposals including concepts, measurement and strategic objectives
  • Develop and review accurate budgets, projections, profitability and status reports, using these tools to manage the account
  • Continually seeks opportunities to increase client satisfaction and deepen relationships with relevant industry leaders and influencers
  • Proactively pursue Multicultural business opportunities with clients and contribute to new business efforts
Essential Knowledge/Skills:
  • Ability and desire to build and maintain strong relationship with clients
  • Strategic positioning and planning skill
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish-language (fluent); knowledge of EFE/AP Styles
  • Maintain account timelines and project workload
  • Oversee and proof creative and production on TV, radio, outdoor, print, etc
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to work with people at all levels as well as within a partner agency team
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills
  • Mastery of relevant software: MS Word, Excel, Power Point, MAC & PC systems, etc
  • Experience in social media, digital, creative production, mobile and grassroots program execution a plus
  • Position may require some travel
Education & Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor degree, preferably in advertising, marketing, public relations or communications. A minimum of three years of related professional work experience (Multicultural and general market), ideally at an agency. Demonstrates knowledge of and passion for the industry and Multicultural marketing. Entrepreneurial spirit.
