Currently, Schwan's Home Service, Inc. (Schwan’s),
a subsidiary of The Schwan Food Company, is seeking a summer intern in
our Marketing department. T he intern selected for this role will be
exposed to consumer research, product claims testing, agency
partners/agency relationships, packaging communication principles and
processes, product design principles, comparative product testing. and
general process development/process improvement. This position can be
located in either Bloomington or Marshall, MN.
The intern will perform a variety of tasks and responsibilities that may include but are not limited to:
Coordinate marketing efforts to improve packaging communication on priority skus
Assist with consolidation of product information for internal & external use
Understand and highlight key differentiating product benefits and features that are meaningful to consumers
Designs, executes and implements specific marketing initiatives
Creates various reports and PowerPoint presentations
Assists with day-to-day projects and tasks
Education: Recent graduate or currently enrolled in college degree program in Marketing or related field. GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Work Experience : 0-2 years
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be outgoing, detail oriented and
possess strong communication skills. Ability to deal with ambiguity and
take initiative required. Interest or experience with food and/or
retail preferred. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
necessary.
