Job Title: Online Marketing Intern

Each year ShopNBC seeks out talented individuals for our summer
internship program at our Headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN. This summer
we are looking for Sophomore, Junior or Senior undergrads to intern in
various areas of our business. During the 12 week unpaid program,
interns will be placed in a department that complements their field of
study, and provided with opportunities that will enhance their
experience as well as their portfolios.
Position Overview:
The Online Marketing Intern will support the team in the day-to-day
activities of our online marketing programs. The position will serve as
an integral role in developing competitive analysis and reporting
across our online marketing programs, specifically relating to social
media and email marketing. In addition to supporting online marketing,
this individual will collaborate with other functional teams to gain
exposure to other areas in the company.

Essential Functions:
Principle Accountabilities & Authorities:
Develop an understanding of the social media landscape and how companies
market their brand through this channel. Daily responsibilities include
but are not limited to:
- Conduct competitive research
- Idea generation and brainstorming
- Post on behalf of ShopNBC
- Create behind the scenes content (photos, videos, host/guest interviews)
- General research of emerging social media networks and opportunities in the channel
- Generate reports to determine channel performance trends
Develop an understanding of ShopNBC’s email marketing strategy and assist the Email
Marketing Specialist with daily responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Generate daily and monthly reports on individual email campaign performance
- Conduct analysis on customer purchase behavior
- Provide competitive research on subject lines, email content and copy, and overall design/aesthetics
- Schedule email campaigns as necessary and assist with email calendar maintenance
- Assist with other projects as needed

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.), or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
Coursework with a focus in retail merchandising advertising, marketing, public relations or business management.
Strong written and verbal skills
Strong analytical skills
Excellent organization and process development skills
Proven track record for meeting deadlines and delivering results
Functional knowledge of MS Office suite
