EnergyPrint - Marketing Internship

Company Overview
EnergyPrint provides a simple energy and water management dashboard, delivered via the web. We enable building professionals to understand utility use and expense, and implement efforts to save money across their building portfolios. Using data from utility bills, EnergyPrint answers four key business questions:
1.     How are my buildings doing?
2.     Is my energy/water use getting better or worse?
3.     Where are my opportunities for energy/water savings?
4.     Have my past energy/water improvements paid off?

Once a customer subscribes, We collect, input and validate all necessary utility data. Our advanced analytics then provide the following benefits:
  • Document cost, consumption and carbon emissions and trends
  • Benchmark the building against like buildings
  • Normalize for the effects of weather
  • Identify opportunity areas that may require more detailed investigation
  • Define the impact of unique business variables on energy and water use
  • Quantify cost savings achieved
  • Integrate seamlessly with customers’ ENERGY STAR accounts, enabling certification

Internship Description
EnergyPrint has identified the need to engage an intern to provide general marketing support up to 20 hours/week starting immediately for a minimum of three months. This individual will work directly with the Director of Marketing to implement and execute marketing strategies and tactics.

The individual interested in this internship may have a business, marketing, advertising, journalism, or communications major. This individual will be interested in sustainability, clean technology and web based technology, and issues like:
·     Energy conservation and energy efficiency in buildings
·     Rising energy costs
·     Customer communication and education
·     Developing case studies and industry best practices
·     Online research and competitive analysis
·     General sales & marketing activity

Intern responsibilities will include:
·     Provide sales support, including the updating of materials built in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
·     Implement daily EnergyPrint’s Twitter and social media activity
·     Develop monthly newsletters – using a collection of content from EnergyPrint colleagues and industry partners (will require interviewing, writing and editing)
·     Assist with other publications and customer communication as needed
·     Update company website news areas and changing content
·     Assist with the implementation of a new website sections, marketing materials and public relations as directed

Job Requirements
  1. Undergraduate with a minimum of three years completed in either business, marketing, advertising, journalism or communications or a current MBA student with a concentration in any of these areas
  2. Experience with writing and editing student or other publications, social media, website updates, and some public relations (samples required)
  3. Minimum of three years of experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint (samples of PowerPoint presentations and Word documents with formatted graphics required)

Required Capabilities:
The candidate must have:
  1. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  2. Extremely detail-oriented and with effective good follow through
  3. Self-motivated with a high sense of urgency and accuracy
  4. Discretion in dealing with highly confidential information
  5. Reliable transportation to and from office
  6. Able to sit at a desk and perform typical office functions daily
  7. Computer experience; Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint
  8. Able to work alone and in a group environment
  9. Familiar with general office equipment
