This candidate knows how to blend the two to create successful and focused media relations campaigns.   • Lead and mentor a team of talented media relations specialists
  • Develop annual media relations plans for clients
  • Successfully secure media placements that drive strategic business results through calls to action that are measurable
  • Collaborate with LaBreche strategists to develop media relations strategies and key messages to successfully manage client crises
  • Network and maintain contact with community and news outlets
  • Train and coach spokespeople for interviews and presentations
  • Understand the nuances of various media platforms and how to best utilize each to the benefit of clients
  • Manage client budgets and client relationships
  • Work on securing new business opportunities for the company
  • Constantly demonstrate value to clients
  • Lead agency efforts to continually refine and transform how media relations results are measured
  • Serve as a thought leader for the company on media relations issues and topics
  • Minimum of 8 years of applicable experience
  • Passion for consuming news and building relationships with editors, reporters, producers
  • Possess solid, strategic thinking around media relations planning and implementation
  • Ability to find, develop and tell client stories in a way that captures media attention
  • Demonstrated issues management experience
  • Ability to counsel clients on best practices in media relations
  • Enthusiasm and creativity to provide original ideas
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Capable of working concurrently on several projects
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Interpersonal skills to work directly with clients and team members
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to establish credibility with clients quickly and maintain positive relationships
  • Maintain accountability for media relations team’s results
  • Openly accept client and internal team feedback
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in PR, communications or journalism
