- Junior-level (or higher) student in pursuit of Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, management or other related field with an interest in event planning and project management
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office programs
- Highly organized and is a self-starter
- Capability to handle and take charge of multiple projects
- Flexible schedule
- Familiarity with design principles and ability to be creative is preferred, but not required
- On event day: ability to spend 6+ hours engaging in physical activity, including lifting and moving boxes and items (up to approx. 35 pounds) from storage to venue; setting up registration tables, signage; setting and decorating tables; greeting and assisting guests at registration; disassembling and packing event materials.
Event Planning and Production (70%):
The intern would routinely be responsible for the following:
- Customer service via phone or email related to events
- Creation of event onsite print material
- In-office and on-site event preparations and execution
- Tracking event registrations and evaluations
- Assist at majority of events
The intern would routinely be responsible for the following:
- Assist in execution of Mentor Program events, activities, and communications
- Manage other projects as assigned
The intern would routinely be responsible for the following:
- Designing and executing display cases
- Managing and maintaining event supplies
