Bowman and Brooke LLP - Event and Public Relations Coordinator

Bowman and Brooke LLP, a national law firm focused in product liability defense litigation, is searching for an Event and Public Relations Coordinator to join our team of professionals in our downtown Minneapolis, MN office.

As the Event and Public Relations Coordinator you will provide support in the areas of marketing and business development by delivering superior service to the department members, the firm's partners, external clients and the firm's attorneys and employees, particularly focused on events and public relations.  This position is key to maintaining the firm's brand through the live experience of events as well as supporting our national reputation with hands-on media activities.

  • Coordinate local and national sponsorships, seminars and special events, includes participation, logistics, CLE credit applications, materials, signage, etc.
  • Support firmwide off-site event planning and logistics for all-attorney and biannual partner meetings, includes location, meal, and transportation needs
  • Coordinate and communicate with key stakeholders all invitation and attendee lists for events
  • Write, schedule and distribute routine press releases and firm announcements
  • Coordinate master schedule for award and honors submissions locally and nationally
  • Handle reprint and permissions for media placements
  • Maintain media contact database and library of media placements
  • Track firmwide pro bono and community involvement for PR opportunities
  • Respond to routine media survey requests
  • Participate on internal employee events committee
  • Website/Intranet content backup
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor
Job Requirements 
In addition you will need to fulfill the following requirements:

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or similar business-related field
  • 2-3 years related marketing or professional services experience preferred, minimum one year specifically in events and/or PR
  • Previous experience working in a team environment required, law firm preferred
Working Conditions:
  • Professional office environment.
  • Heavy computer use.
  • Frequent interruptions from attorneys, staff and outside clients/vendors.
  • Specific deadlines and timetables.
  • Ability to work overtime as priorities dictate.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
