The McNamara Alumni Center is an award-winning conference and event center on the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis campus. We are on track to host 900 events this year in our 10 unique rooms—from galas, multi-day conferences, weddings, department lunches and small meetings. As a member of the event operations team, the event coordinator will work with approximately 1/3 of our clients to create their floorplans and coordinate parking, audio visual, signage, furniture and equipment rental etc. He/she will also share in the management of weekday events: greeting clients upon their arrival and reviewing room layout; facilitating room setup changes; demonstrating AV equipment operation and troubleshooting as needed.
|Education, training, experience:|
|The event office is open Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm but flexibility is required by staff to share in staffing early mornings, evenings and weekends depending on the event schedule. A 4-year college degree is required with related experience in the event industry. EMS and Visio software experience a plus.|
