Tastefully Simple - Public Relations Coordinator

Job Description

Coordinate social media initiatives
  • Coordinate social media activities including managing the calendar, topics and updates for the following social media outlets:
    • Facebook
    • Twitter
    • YouTube
    • Pinterest
    • Tastefully Simple blogs (ex: TS Recipes blog)
  • Research and recommend new social media techniques to support and enhance marketing efforts, brand identity and consultant/client interaction
  • Partner with brand managers to incorporate social media into marketing strategies

 Coordinate consultant press release process
  • Coordinate issuance of consultant press releases

 Coordinate public relations efforts
  • Assist in distribution of appropriate PR company materials, including media kits, to the Public Relations firm and media outlets
  • Coordinate response efforts to public relations inquiries and present recommendations for approval (e.g., student requests, speech requests, media requests, etc.)
  • Create and maintain media lists and media kit contents
  • Coordinate agendas, packets and printed materials for media visits
  • Coordinate Tastefully Simple’s Christmas card mailing list for partners and friends

 Champion tour guide group and process
  • Serve as lead tour guide, to include:
    • Giving tours
    • Training new tour guides
    • Updating tour scripts
    • Managing communication with tour guide group
    • Organizing details for special tours (ex: national conference tours)
    • Covering tours when the assigned tour guide is unable to do so

 Document and archive all PR activities
  • Document and archive all PR activities/accomplishments
  • Maintain PR log
  • Create an annual scrapbook that documents Tastefully Simple activities and events for consultants and HQ team

Collaborate with team members, draft correspondence, edit documents and perform other tasks as required for the Creative Services, Communications Team

Required Skills
  • Extensive computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel

Required Experience
  • Associate’s degree in business, marketing, PR or related field
  • Two to five years experience in related field
  • Two years experience utilizing Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, preferably in a business setting
