Position Overview/Duties: The Minnesota Timberwolves are seeking a communications professional to serve as the team’s Corporate Communications Manager.
This position serves a strategic role within the company to advance
its business and revenue goals. In addition to strategic planning, the
Corporate Communications Manager's duties include: key message
development, crisis communications, development of internal brand
building and communication tactics, pitching business-related story
ideas to media, serving as publicist and drafting communication plans
for key stakeholders including season ticket members and corporate
sponsors. This position reports to the Director of Public Relations and
will manage seasonal, part-time staff.
Ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to operate
semi-autonomously. In addition to being resourceful and innovative, this
candidate should also be well-organized and able to maintain multiple,
large-scale projects at any one time. Candidate should have superior
communication skills and able to easily draft plans and materials.
Experience in an agency setting or other faced-paced work environment
is preferred. Additionally, experience with either consumer-facing, or
controversial brands are preferred.
Experience: 5+ years experience preferred.

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
