This full-time day position is an outstanding opportunity to write and edit news releases, informational material, promotional material, and web content for internal and external Minnesota Pollution Control Agency audiences. This energetic and creative self-starter will also respond to information requests from the media and public and will work well with deadlines. This person will share key agency messages through stories, community relations, public relations, social media, and electronic and print communications. This person will assist other communications staff with important communication projects.
Qualifications: The person hired for this position must have a bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, English, or closely related field.
This person must have a working knowledge of social media, media relations, and writing for the web.
This position requires strong writing and good editing skills as well as demonstrated abilities in gathering complicated information and organizing it into an easily understandable format.
