The Account Director is responsible for implementing and driving annual agency goals while overseeing the implementation of client plans to exceed benchmarks. The candidate will provide ongoing directional support for the account teams, ensuring effective client campaigns and overallbest-in-class resource management. Minimum seven to tenyears of progressively responsible public relations experience with solid agency experience in both consumer and business media highly preferred.
Relative to public relations activities, the Account Director operates as the strategic counselor, employing various strategies and tactics directly benefitting Kohnstamm's clients. These strategies may involve the execution of media relations,social media/digital media, executive messaging, special-events, promotional activities, targeted communications and overall marketing communications plans. Strategic agility is a key competency for the role.
In addition, the Account Director will perform annual budgeting and forecast activities, ensuring overall account profitability. He/she also will manage the monthly invoice process and agency results reports. The candidate also plays a vital role on the Senior Management Team, offering strategicideas and solutions in driving the agency’s vision and purposeforward. Through the use of performance appraisals,individual development plans (IDPs), ongoing coaching and other leadership tactics, the Account Director is directly accountable for generating, building and maintaining a high-performance workforce.
