University of Minnesota - Communications Consultant

"The Office of Admissions is responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of a diverse and academically prepared student body at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. The University communicates extensively with students who have expressed an interest in the University, keeping prospective students engaged with personalized communications and encouraging them to take steps toward enrollment. This position is part of a creative, dynamic communications team that conducts this important work on behalf of the University. 

A successful candidate will have an ability to craft compelling, benefits-based messaging, is highly organized, has impeccable attention to detail, and is ready to infuse strong University of Minnesota school spirit into our work! 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, Art or related field. Four years of professional communications experience (individuals with non-communications degrees must have six years of progressive responsibility in communications). 
Demonstrated excellent time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated strong attention to details. Demonstrated project management experience. Demonstrated commitment to diversity. Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working in higher education or non-profit organizations. Familiarity with the U of M-Twin Cities campus.
