Hennepin Theatre Trust - Digital Engagement Intern

Digital Engagement Intern

Is Buzzfeed or Vice News your primary news source? Do you tweet more interesting things than what you just ate? Do you have an active Instagram account? Do you actually understand the new Twitter profile layout? Cool, let’s help you turn that into an internship!

Made Here is looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion for the arts to be their Digital Engagement Intern this summer! It’s a small team, so you’ll be given a broad range of responsibilities and various opportunities to gain experience. Not one single coffee run is on your horizon.

With Made Here, Hennepin Theatre Trust showcases Minnesota’s wealth of artistic talent to activate the vibrant downtown Minneapolis Cultural District. We’re looking for someone who can work at least eight hours a week. Partially in our Downtown Minneapolis office with the ability to work remotely. This is a paid internship and there is a small stipend available.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Acting as a digital ambassador for Made Here
  • Daily cultivation of Made Here content for social media
  • Actively monitoring and participating in conversations that surround Made Here
  • Researching creative and innovative ideas to promote Made Here through digital channels
  • Reporting on user engagement, response, clicks
  • Helping manage the Made Here Blog, Twitter, Tumblr, and other communities

You have:
  • Significant experience with social media
  • Basic knowledge or ability to quickly learn Tumblr
  • Basic knowledge of HTML
  • Basic image editing skills
  • Solid writing ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliable and great work ethic
  • Familiarity with the Minneapolis arts community.
  • The desire and motivation to grow a portfolio of exciting work
