Job Description

The Director, Public Relations serves as a key member of a small critical team and is responsible for managing the external communications for Deluxe Corporation. They must guide the messaging and cascading of approved messaging throughout the organization. They will work with external agencies to develop strategic and inclusive communication and engagement plans for each calendar year. This role reports directly to the Chief Brand and Communications Officer.


Accountabilities:

- Manages the development, implementation and strategic direction of external agency partnerships with the goal of establishing and maintaining a favorable image of the company with investors, potential customers, employees and the public.
- Consults with internal and external partners in order to project the corporate message to both external and internal audiences through social media channels; oversees the analysis of responses to social media activities and makes recommendations. Represents the company message to online communities, media, analysts and the general public at large. Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
- Manages external communications in times of high company needs both proactive and reactively. Serves as the top expert in crisis communications on external issues. Interfaces with public relations agencies and acts as the corporate spokesperson to the media, analysts and the general public at large.
- Oversees aspects of internal and external communications for the organization. Responsibilities include advertising/marketing, press relations, creative editorial and design services, and internal communications. May also be responsible for strategic communications and special events.
- Interacts with employees at all levels of the organization including the top executive team on a regular basis. Must present a thoughtful, professional and intelligent image as a brand representative of the company.
- Serves as a guide in helping the Deluxe Foundation formulate communications and strategies. Thinks precociously about the advancement of the foundation in the community and how it can help serve the advancement of the Deluxe brand.
- Manages the collection, analysis and distribution of all key brand metrics for the corporation.
- Position may include other duties as determined by the company.

*Travel 1-2 times per month. Can work from home 1 day a week.

Required:
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience in Communications, Marketing, Advertising or Mass Communications)
- 10+ years experience
- Strong written and verbal presentation skills
- Ability to interact with roles at all levels within the company
- Must be able to be an active participant in project work
- This role both strategizes and personally participates in work outcomes

Preferred:
- MBA
- Public Relations agency experience

TPT - Director of Creative Services Creative Services

Twin Cities Public Television, a Star Tribune 2013 Top Workplaces Employer, is seeking a skilled and experienced Creative Services Director that is responsible for the design and creation of print, digital and video content of non-program length – a service provider to all tpt departments requiring these skills.  Functionally, this group embodies the former Design and VPR departments, with a new Director of Creative Services overseeing these production units.

The Director of Creative Services will lead a team that works collaboratively with internal and external clients to define projects, organize and assign internal and external resources, manage workflow, and supervise the overall creative process.  She/He is responsible for delivery of assignments on schedule and on budget, executed in a manner consistent with tpt and PBS Brand Standards, and meeting the needs of the client.  She/He will supervise a staff of producers, editors and designers, establishing and maintaining priorities and deadlines, and will report to the Vice President of Production.

Responsibilities:
·         Lead a team of designers, producers and editors in the creation of broadcast, digital and print media for internal and external clients.
·         Set a high standard for creative thought and expression, requiring that level of work consistently from the staff.
·         Collaborate with internal and external teams to understand client objectives, define assignments, brainstorm and pitch ideas.
·         Assume primary responsibility for the workflow in the department.
·         Be personally capable of producing top-quality design work as required.
·         Be accountable for on-time, on-budget delivery of creative deliverables.
·         Provide creative and managerial guidance/feedback on work product, coaching staff for improvement and growth.
·         Prioritize projects based on budgets, resources, capabilities and capacity.
·         Provide strong creative and strategic expertise, leading improvement in the overall effectiveness of existing work products and processes.
·         Monitor industry trends and innovations, translating learning into departmental improvement (including structure and roles, skills and competencies, new technologies, etc.).
·         Recruit and supervise fulltime and freelance employees (as required).
Serve as a member of the Content Leadership Team – representing Creative Services to the rest of the senior leadership.

Required Skills and Abilities:
The ideal candidate will be a creative self-starter and a strong communicator: a strategic thinker, designer and story-teller, with a strong sense of authenticity in tone and style.  She/He will have a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a creative workplace, and will possess a portfolio demonstrating her/his highly creative and successful work in broadcast, digital and print media.  The ability to collaboratively solve problems is essential, as are the abilities to delegate and work cross-functionally with multiple departments.

The ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptable, with the proven ability to oversee multiple projects and budgets simultaneously, often on tight deadlines and with limited resources. She/He will have strong organizational and customer service skills, and be comfortable, experienced and successful in pitching ideas and gaining the approval and satisfaction of clients.  Experience in creating and managing budgets is essential, as are strong supervisory and coaching capabilities.
Finally the ideal candidate will have sensitivity to – and preferably experience in – a mission-based organization.

TPT - Director of Integrated Marketing & Communication


Twin Cities Public Television, a Star Tribune 2013 Top Workplaces Employer, is seeking a skilled and experienced Director of Integrated Marketing & Communications that is responsible for driving tpt’s consumer marketing and communications efforts including managing on air promotion, magazine, e-marketing, digital marketing, social media, Public Relations and events. Key responsibilities include conceptualizing, planning, and executing a fully integrated marketing and communications program in support of tpt’s content, development and fundraising activities. This person is a senior communications specialist and modern marketer who will create engagement strategies and campaigns to appeal to market segments that can support tpt’s mission.

The qualified candidate will have a strong background in marketing automation, analytics and social media and the ability to leverage his/her past experience in digital marketing strategies and direct marketing in working with non-profit fundraising or membership based organizations.

Responsibilities:

INTEGRATED MARKETING

• Responsible for knowledge of developing trends in digital marketing and of user behavior.
• Conceptualize, plan, and execute a fully integrated marketing and communications program in support of tpt’s content, development and fundraising activities.
• Create engagement strategies and campaigns that appeal to market segments that can support tpt’s mission.
• Create and execute marketing and communications strategies including e-mail, digital, mobile and social networking to create new leads and achieve annual and revenue goals.

BRAND

• Administers the development and approval of the annual brand communication strategies and plans.

MARKET DATA ANALYSIS & REPORTING

• Analyze and translate CRM data and social media trends into actionable campaigns to maximize the conversion of audiences into supporters.
• Partner with the Senior Vice President of Revenue to develop key measurement strategies and metrics.
• Work with web analytics team to establish reports that measure successes and help identify opportunities.

CONTENT CREATION
• Support all tpt business units as the internal marketing agency developing a cohesive, collaborative working relationship between all service and communication departments.

MEDIA RELATIONS
• Oversee media relations and partner outreach to barter, event partner, feature and/or promote tpt’s and our content (stories, videos, etc.).

PRODUCTIONS
• Manage development cycle of magazine production events team to ensure efficient processes, strong vendor relationships and resulting work is aligned with key strategies.

SOCIAL MEDIA
• Improve engagement with the tpt's social media community to increase revenue generation and brand awareness.

Required Skills and Abilities:

The desired qualities and attributes that this new position will possess to achieve maximum results are:

• BA/BS degree is required. MBA Strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive marketing management experience in digital or direct marketing.
• Previous experience successfully managing digital strategy and execution working in non-profit fundraising or a membership based organization.
• Experience working with Eloqua (marketing automation) and Salesforce (CRM) is a plus.
• Ability to work with all levels of leadership and articulate data and findings to be applied to the business.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong web analytics skills including experience with web analytics software, such as Google Analytics and social media dashboards.
• The ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external constituents in a friendly and professional manner.
