Position Overview:
Weber Shandwick’s Financial Services practice, headquartered in Minneapolis, is seeking an Account Executive with two to three years of experience to join our team. We’re looking for PR professionals who have experience working with clients in the corporate, financial services or technology. The ideal candidate is a passionate about learning, building media relationships, developing compelling story angles that generate media interest, drafting media materials and social media content, tracking program metrics, creating client reports and collaborating with teammates on a variety of projects.

Essential Competencies and Attributes:
• Excellent project management skills, particularly for digital initiatives and/or live events
• Strong B2B media relations skills, with proven experience pitching and securing stories
• Solid B2B writing skills, including experience writing press releases or bylined articles for publication
• Strong command of social media in B2B environment, including experience managing corporate social media presence on Twitter, LinkedIn or corporate blogs.
• Experience with developing and managing digital advertising campaigns for a variety of platforms, such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Outbrain, Taboola and others
• Ability to creatively leverage content across channels to engage media and client audiences
• Ability to multitask and prioritize engagement activities across a variety of client accounts
• Ability to cross-collaborate and work well in team-based environment
• Appetite to learn new subject matter, skills and tools
• Impeccable attention to detail
• Some experience working directly with clients

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Conduct business, technology, trade media and other influencer outreach
• Manage large-scale digital projects and live events
• Seek and share information on media and digital trends with account teams and practice group
• Work collaboratively with the senior leaders and clients on accounts
• Occasional travel for an industry event or account program

Qualifications:
• BA or BS in Journalism, Business, Communications or related degree
• PR agency experience desired
• Experience in the HR/benefits/retirement/insurance industries or other corporate/B2B fields preferred
