Minnesota Department of Health seeks a temporary, part-time communications associate

The Minnesota Department of Health seeks a temporary, part-time communications associate to assist with health communications and community health improvement information work for the Office of Statewide Health Improvement Initiatives (OSHII). This position will help plan, develop and execute OSHII communications projects and initiatives.
Job responsibilities include:
-Research, write, and edit informational and promotional content for the Office of Statewide Improvement Initiatives (OSHII) website.
-Support the planning, organizing and implementing health communications and health improvement information work for the Statewide Health Improvement Program (SHIP).
-Write, edit and produce stories from the field success story product development for SHIP and other community initiatives directed by OSHII.
-Assist the OSHII Communications Team in communications planning for emerging health improvement initiatives and efforts across OSHII.
-Complete other duties as assigned.
Two years of professional experience in health education, promotion, or risk reduction with responsibility for planning and conducting programs, courses, seminars/workshops, etc.; developing education materials; designing surveys/conducting needs assessments; or conducting research on behavior change.

A Master’s degree in Health Education, Adult Education, Mass Communication, or Journalism or closely related field will count as one year of professional experience; a Bachelor’s degree will count as six months of professional experience.
